New literary blog hitotoki.org is looking for submissions! - 04-12-2007, 05:09 PM

Hello,

this is Paul Baron from IN-duce/Tokyo Art Beat, I wanted to let you know that I have been working on a new simple website/blog about Tokyo with some friends that we're finally ready to spring on the world.
I was thinking that some of you may be interested in writing for it.
The website is called Hitotoki (Japanese for "moment" or "time")
hitotoki

The site will be a collection of personal stories from people like you who have passed through Tokyo/live in Tokyo. The stories will be tied to specific moments that occurred at specific locations in Tokyo, that in a way, defined at least part of what Tokyo means to you. The primary goal is good reading, but we're also hoping that travelers and residents use the site to find new points of interest in the city.

The requirements are pretty easy. 200-500 words + an accompanying image if you got one, and written to be read and enjoyed by complete strangers.

On top of the story, each author will also be profiled alongside the his/her story.
I am including our submission form below which has the fine details.

It would be great if we could get some stories from you before our launch on the first of May. If not, anytime would be great.

Please pass it on to anyone you think might be interested.

PS: anybody got the subtle (invisible?) katakana shapes in the logo?
(it was hand-carved in stone)
