I played a bit with art/deco LED's, like in this picture on my site (can't attach files from work, sorry but I had to use a link):

It's mainly just normal lighting, but because I made a small unprotected coil on one end of each 3 LEDs set, when air moisture comes in play, it blinks, every set. How does it work, I really don't know, but it works

I kinda imagine that because of the parallel to 3x series mount, it becomes a rudimentary transistor, with the gate fueled/buffered by the energy in the coil.

Oh, forgot to say, it's powered by a battery that's charged by a small solar panel, it worked automatically all night for almost 1 year.

PS: Near the end there is a black area, that's because the blinking of the entire length reached there.
