I`ve always been partial to 勅使河原 (because it`s one of those few 4 character family names) and 志賀 for various reasons.
Our family name is 矢部 - I`m sort of indifferent to it. It irritates the crap out of me to have to clarify how to say it when we`re out of Japan. Everyone tries to read it as one syllable with a long A. Argh. 萱津ヶ原に 名をとどむ もののふどもの 夢のまた夢」 |
