Raising a daughter in Osaka

My wife and I just came from Toronto,CA and we were just curious as the equivalent products for our child here in japan. I read the article here about the formula and found that very useful! any other tips and advice would be greatly appreciated as we are here for 3mths.

As well our daughter is getting her 4mth shot... is that or how different are the vaccination shots here in japan vs in canada?

I`ve heard that the vaccination schedules are significantly different, but I`ve never seen the schedule for Canada or elsewhere, so I can`t really say exactly how. Japan apparently has fewer vaccinations, and they are supposedly spaced at more healthy intervals. My son is 3, and has only had 2 vaccinations so far (One with 2 spaced doses).

3 months isn`t really a long time, so you could actually probably just skip out on them altogether and wait until you head back to Canada to resume the schedule there. Delaying any vaccination for a few months isn`t going to make a difference, and it will probably be easier for you to keep track of in the long run.

The only thing I would recommend is getting the flu shot if you`ll be here through the winter. You should all be able to get it at the local health center.
