Well, I don't know. My boyfriend is also one of my best friends, so I guess it's just a cross between both love and friendship!

As much as I love my boyfriend, friendship should always come first as they are the ones more likely to stick by you. I've had the same 2 best friends for around 14 years, and have only known my boyfriend 3. But he is also now one of my best friends along with a couple more I've picked up along the way, so it's really a good balance to have I think.

i think that both are good.
a really good thing to happen is that you are friends with someone, and over time it develops into love (on both sides).
thats what happened with my and my boyfriend.

also, i think that a great friendship is a mixture of friendship and (non-sexual) love. for example, i love all my friends, male, female, single, dating, gay, straight, bi, whatever. i just love them like they're my family. ^____^

thats just my (humble) opinion.

It depends... if you love some one and they love you then it is good.. but is you love some one but they love someone else it is not good.. it really does depend..

i dont really get the question but - me i have slept with a few girls who i consider to be best mates and we still best mates! - so i dont see why the choice.
