Edit: Asian cultures place a heavier emphasis on good education as well (at least Japan in my experience, except for those with no wish to travel, they didn't try very hard in my English lessons (or maybe I was just a bad teacher)). If their parents are first or second generation immigrants, they may likely carry those values over with them. |

In the Chinese culture i believe that it is frowned upon for children up to the age of 16 or 18 to have boyfriends or girlfriends because many feel it will interupt there studies and education. After watching many documentaries on Chinese culuture it is clear to me why China is an emerging market with great increasing power.
They work a lot harder than us westerners. Will. |

Personally I don't think it's asian girls that do this. I don't know about every other girl, but what you described fits me. I just think it's down to the individual and maybe you just noticing these girls because they are asian - if you look around you'll probably notice that other girls other than asians do this too. It's just normal, people don't tend to be loud and chatty walking through down, unless that's how your personality is. I never make eye contact with randomers either, it seems kind of rude, even though I know they are usually staring at me because my dress sense is unusual.
