It would be amusing to see Zenzen's stereotype with some of my Japanese friends and see if opposites attract.
I would adore having an older version of my friend in Kyoto for a boyfriend. He's wonderful .... just half my age.   Only an open mind and open heart can be filled with life. ********************* Find your voice; silence will not protect you.

I am looking forward to a Japanese male to share a relationship with, though there are virtually none in my area of living. There aren't even many asian americans in Illinois. It's quite the challenge to find one- even more so to get into a dating situation with one.
But it the opportunity ever did arise for me, I would openly embrace it.

I know technically "stereotyping" is lowbrow, and I agree that it's unfair. However, stereotypes exist because enough people fit the pattern to create the stereotype in the first place. For Instance, "Dumb Jock", "Nerd", "Red Neck". While they are all "stereotypes", I doubt few of us here haven't met at least one of each in our lives.
Stereotype is very similar to "Archtype", something writers use alot for character developement, certainly Anime does it rather consistantly. The context is what kills the idea, most people apply it in a negative light, to belittle someone else. Even though there can be good "stereotypes" as well, "Role Model", "Girl Next Door", "Good Smartatin". Hmmm....does this sound preachy? I didn't intend that.
