Thumbs down Invalid avatars - 02-25-2007, 09:39 AM

When I try to customize my avatar, the system sometimes tells me it's invalid. May I suggest that the reason be stated, as well..? Because it can be quite confusing and frustrating if we don't know the cause of the invalidity, which furthermore, doesn't allow us to know which files can be used and vice-versa.

I've noticed through trial and error, that if you try to use a file that is a bitmap, it says that it is invalid. All files have worked for me in jpeg format. So make all avatars jpeg or jpg before you try to submit them.

Yes, apparently, that is the case.. but I stil think the reason should be written somewhere.. it can be confusing and tedious for the newcomers..

I can make a note of it to Eki, but there is nothing I can do about it. I can't go and change the site's settings. lol

Eki is a busy person. He/She made this forum pretty much for others to enjoy. He/she posts when something important happens to the forum like updates or a new thread topic. So besides that Eki, doesn't really need to post I guess.
