What happened to Japan Forum?

Those rules have been in affect since around this time last year.

Why is it that your first visit back to the forum the first thing you do is post a complaint thread?

The piece about General that says "discuss anything here Japan related or not" has been changed. Since the Admin is not active, which you know already, cannot be re-written. No one holds a Admin account that can re content over again.

What gives us the right to change a focus of a section? We should only moderate? You all know that the Administration of the forum is non-existent, so we had to step in, and we have become the Admin. Would you just rather us leave everything on the forum? The Admin didn't even have any rules posted, anything negative or positive was being allowed. To help with the order of things, and to try and make everything run smoothly, we the Mods, created a set of rules.

There is no one above us active on this site, you we are trying to pick up in his absence.

You're asking where the fun is, but yet you haven't been around to enjoy the fun of the forum now.

You are just associating the rules with how they used to be, without any attempt on adjusting. Why don't you check out how things are now before making negative remarks?

sir. this is not the first time i've been back since ReiIsMyAlterEgo, and this wasn't the first thing i did when i came back from one of my many hiatus' I actually tried contributing into the forum by sharing what could have been good fun/humour - a thread i've seen in every freaking forum. Then it was closed down because apparently I did it because I was bored and just wanted to be "random". Even though the pictures I shared were Japan related. (Right, so I didn't say people had to post Japan related pictures, but then again, it does say "Introduce yourself and talk about anything you want here, Japanese-related or not" when you're now supposed to make the "General" Japan/Asia related, so now thinking back, people should've just assumed I meant it to be funny Japan related pictures)

and i know the admin story. spare me. but now that the mods are running it, it seems like Japan Forum isnt anything like the admin's vision. so maybe he didn't create a set of rules. but he's left some things here for you to
work with. like what he wanted the General Discussion section to be. i'm not saying you're wrong for making rules, of course nothing works without rules. i'm just saying some of the ones applied here just doesn't quite work.

and Kanji, you're missing my point. define "General" for me

haha. fun? this place? oh please, the rabid fangirls who won't listen to reason? the arrogance of the weaboos? i came back hoping for a bit of a chat to the people i met here, and just to see what's up, and to share a bit of humour in the General Discussion section. but no. apparently it's become a weaboo exclusive dump now.

Yeah, the one thing I detest is that: people who make a big deal over a person's physical appearance and/or their thighs. Yes, there are some who are certainly attractive, however, I don't see how that contributes to music. Every time someone brings up the disrespectful groupies, I always make that point. Plus, one of the mods claims to be one(read the music thread).

If you want to know why I call them disrespectful, there is a site where these Miyavi groupies decided to say,"Let's look at pictures of his wife, you know, to see if she's worth him!" or something like that. To the groupies who think that, I must say that he ****** her, and that proves and emphasizes that to him, she certainly is possibly more worth it than you jackasses will ever know.

I remember in some thread, I think it was the hottest actress thread. We made a complain after the thread was deleted and you brought up those rules. However my thread fulfilled 1 of those rules.

I don't see the point in making new unrelated threads when you can just say what you want in the chat thread.

I don't get why people are so annoyed when there is basically total freedom in the chat thread.

Oh yeah, and as mentioned, Facer was closed because it was having issues/it was broken. It was reopened along with other threads that were having issues. So before you jump the gun and decide 'OMG THEY ARE CLOSING EVERYTTTHINGGGGS!!0111!!' try and find out why.

I think It would be fair if mods can just make simple posting rules, without taking all the freedom out. I think that the trash talkers did that to us, though. So blame them!

well well what have we here... my oh my what weird rule the mods have put in place for us eh... even so rules are rules none the less and we have to follow like slaves or we'll get banned. ofcorse i've only been here What 2-3 days so i dont know how this forum is run. just because the forums chainged and deleted somthings you like doesnt mean there's nothing here that you will like.
things chainge all the time, some for better, some for worse.
well then...

but surely they havent done that XD there not to cruel...
most mods i've seen on different forums are just asses with too much hold over the forum...

I have been here for a few days maybe weeks so I dont know much about how the forum used to be run. But i belive the reason most people come to this forum...is for japan related coversations. Call me crazy but I truely belive that thats why its called Japan Forum. The fact that Mods made rules and stepped up as the new admins is very commendable, would you rather let the forum die?

You can say what you want to say but in the end its the Admins call (in this case the mods).
