Mods the close threads without giving reasons should be de-modded - 02-12-2011, 09:35 PM

*that

I think we need to strip some people of their mod status.

It's getting ridiculuous.

I think we all know who I'm talking about.

No idea then, wasn't me. Not saying it should or it shouldn't have, I'll speak with the other mods about it. Any other questions/comments feel free to PM me as always.
I left the offer for you to PM me open (or feel free to PM other mods if you still have an issue about that). So feel free to do that. The reason I closed the thread is because I answered your question and left you an open means of communication should you have anymore.

This thread will be closed for the same reasons~ If anyone does have a problem with the way we moderate and such, we are very open and I always take opinions seriously. Please please PM me about anything you may disagree with.

Nah.. I prefer to air it publicly.

I just realised that I posted it in the wrong place though.

Feel free to move it to site suggestions if you like.

I really shouldn't get involved . . . but to play devil's advocate, do the mods really need to give reasons for deleting threads that are against site rules?

Well don't close it.

I haven't broken any rules and I think you are overstepping your boundaries here.

The same goes with the other thread

I brought up an important point regarding "bashing".

A thread was closed because of apparent "American bashing" by an oversensitive American mod. But when it's Japan or another country/ethnicity on the other end of the bashing, nothing happens.

The thread should be relevent to the interests of members on JF, no-one else has raised any issues about the modding but you, in which case it was just sensible to suggest the conversation was taken to PM's.

Since the issue was only between you and the moderators. That's all.

I didn't close the immigration thread. But we shouldn't tolerate bashing of any kind. We delete all threads that are 'Japan is sh**' just as we close all threads that say 'Americans are stupid,' because neither add anything to Japan Forum and didn't have any justification and reasoning.
