The characters' techniques, although somewhat exaggerated, were quite accurate; Team Ninja really did their homework on their martial arts... which is a big deal for a fighting game. You can even learn a few real techniques by studying the moves of some characters.
As for a game I would like to see created, I want to see a "Freedom Fighters 2".
There are only a few games that I consider truly good, and "Freedom Fighters" was one of them. With the in-game graphics and physics we have today, they need only to retain the basic original game-play concept. Then, they would easily be dealing with a potential masterpiece.
I also want to see another good "Tenchu" game.
"Tenchu Z" was an excellent game, in my opinion. And - again - it was fairly accurate, in terms of martial practices, despite being somewhat exaggerated in some areas.

Oh yeah I agree about Freedom Fighters!
Cool game with a cool plot. I'm thinking if they made part two it could be made into a sort of sandbox game where you join up to or begin a resistance movement but after a while you end up leading it. There'd be side missions and stuff two involving other resistance groups, Soviet sympathising militia and perhaps a group involving the remnants of the US army which are in hiding and trying to regroup.
