As of thsi weekend I have a new favorite.
"Dreams" by Akira Kurosawa.
I had seen it before, but watching it again while the weather went from a sunny 75 F to rain to a snowy 34 F over the course of a day made the 1st dream of the sequence even more powerful.
I suppose I had not been in such a tranquil / observant state of mind before, because this is the first time I also noticed how the collection of dreams presents such a wide variety of images of Japan and it's culture. Though they are tied together loosely, each is its own classic and sometimes very different image.
Only an open mind and open heart can be filled with life. ********************* Find your voice; silence will not protect you.
