I Like DBZ more. It was one of my first anime.

im probably the only guy here that likes sailor moon better than dbz but i do. It was my first anime after all and no im not gay! All of my friends love dbz and i like it too but for the love of god, it was all talking! When the planet namek was supposed too explode in five minutes it took like a week of episodes to get there.

I'm more of a Sailor Moon person. I can't stand watching Dragon Ball Z because I can't really understand it. Not to mention, as quoted by my Onee-chan:
"I like Dragon Ball more than Dragon Ball Z because Dragon Ball Z is just a bunch of fighting, grunting, and thinking bad stuff. It basically goes, 'Grrrrrrrr! Rarghhhhhh! (Thoughts)That girl is hawt.(End thought)' and then end of episode."

Besides that, I watched Sailor Moon (the VHS tapes) until midnight one night.

Why is Sailor moon being compaired with Dragon Ball Z when they have nothing in comon?

Its more like Shounen vs Shoujo.

I don't get it. What's there not to understand? The basic story is that some evil guy wants to destroy the earth or universe, and the world's strongest fighters (or in the case of DBZ, "fighter" since no matter what, Goku always saves the day, not counting the Cell Saga) have to take care of it, for the most part to drive said enemy off.

I still like Dragon Ball than Dragon Ball Z. I would rate it, based on this poll...

Dragon Ball > Sailor Moon > Dragon Ball Z, but of course, since DB isn't in the poll, SM wins it for me. lol

Ah-HAH!!!!! Thank you so much SSJup81!!! SSJup81 has just found the connection between SM and DBZ. Although two totally different styles, they have a similar story line. There's a bad guy that's trying to take over and the "world's strongest fighters have to take care of it." DBZ has it's villans that fight against Goku and SM has it's villans that fight against Sailor Moon and the other Sailor Scouts. Get it, got it, done with!

So no more asking why we're comparing the two!!! :mtongue:

Dbz Kicks Salor Moon So Bad. Salor Moon was designed off a bad anime series, wile on the other hand DBZ is manga, and had a lot of sucess as a graphic novel. Salor Moon Was Only Ment to be a tv series, and i thought that it could have had better charicters and a rewritten story line. DBZ however always keeps me wanting more. i have most of the seasons of DB Z on DVD.:vsign:

What are you talking about? Sailor Moon was based off of a manga series. Sailor Moon is a spin-off/continuation (sort of) of the Sailor V manga. Sailor Moon did have rewritten story arcs and changes. In all, the series (anime wise) did have two filler arcs that weren't in the manga. The Rainbow Crystal arc in season 1 and the first arc in Sailor Moon R since the series was originally supposed to have ended there, but like DBZ, fans wanted more so it was made to keep on going.

I don't midn if it someone prefers DBZ to SM or even vice versa, but at least get your facts straight first.

& yes Sailor Moon all the way for me...I have what was supposed to be a Luna tattoo on my back but it turned out to be Artemis...it still rawks!
I remember that there was supposed to be an American live action SM movie & that Geena Davis was to star in it...but that was sadly not meant to be...

I remember 10 years ago when DBZ was on TV (Its still on TV now); I had a friend who was a huge fan of it. I never got into it; I watched 1 episode on-line and it doesn't appeal
I don't remember Sailor Moon being on TV or that it even existed when I was younger.
I heard it was on TV (until 03) but it was the us version that was completely edited (the bad version).

Neither of these are my favorites. However, I have to vote for SM.

Not only was it my first Anime ever, but I cried:pinkcry: when the Sailor Scouts died when they defeated Queen Barrel in the Nega Verse.:rheart: :vsign:

And yes I second that Odin it take freakin 4ever just to get through a friggin 2min fight:rolleyes: I know it takes like 20 scs for the scouts to transform but at least we get to about 2 or more fights in 1 episode!!

I would prefer Dragon Ball than Sailor Moon. It is one of my favourite anime.
My favourite character is Vegeta. He looks very funny in GT.

As it was for others, Sailor Moon was my first introduction to anime. It remains one of my all time favorites. :rheart:

hahaha... that's almost true... damn fillers >_< The manga was being drawn too slow... If you watch the beginning of DBZ, you'll see that it's more than dynamic, fast and beautiful, yet when the series catched up with manga, it slows down. Nevertheless it's the characters and the story that matters...

LMAO... today found a set of my old DVDs where i had all DBZ recorded on... including the movies and specials... this weekend is going to fly past very fast :D :D :D
