Drend 04-12-2008 08:58 PM

No, but there is a Japanese dub of it.

Hiroki 04-12-2008 09:03 PM

No it isn't anime, it's American tv show.

It is created in the style of japanese cartoon art but it isn't anime.

And there isn't a japanese look a like version of 'The Boondocks'.

From Wikipedia:

Like the comic strip, the show is influenced by McGruder's love of anime.[4] He cites Cowboy Bebop and Samurai Champloo as sources of inspiration for fight scenes.[5] The second season features segments animated by Japanese animation studio Madhouse.[6]

i wouldnt rely on wikipedia for anything seeming its a site with mostly opinions but to answer the over all question and to agree with hiroki its not an anime

uhu the creator of カウボーイビバップ and of サムライチャンプルー is Shinichirō Watanabe (渡辺 信一郎)

Like I said, it's made like Japanese way of animation but you cannot classified it as 'anime'.

You see those numbers in the paragraph? They're citations. The citations link to interviews with the show's creator. That's how Wikipedia works. Just because your teacher said Wikipedia is an unreliable source doesn't mean everything on there is opinion or false.

Yeah, I knew that... why do bring that up?

I never said it was. I just thought it was worth pointing out the strong influence anime has on the show.

Drend 04-12-2008 09:28 PM

Here's a Japanese dubbed episode of it, if anyone cares to watch xD

YouTube - TheBoondocks JPver #03 1/2

Tell me what you base that claim on? Numerous studies have been done that show Wikipedia has the same number of mistakes in it as real, printed encyclopedias (such as Britannica) have. Furthermore, there are thousands of volunteers on Wikipedia who spend their time fact-checking and proofreading information. Many of them go to great lengths to make sure all information posted on Wikipedia has a citation to back up the information. It's true someone can go in and write whatever they want on Wikipedia, but it is almost always erased and corrected within a matter of minutes (depending on the article).

i base it on expeirience and what do you base your claim on?

Drend 04-12-2008 09:41 PM

I have to admit, I attempted to change Wiki during school to mess with a friend who was looking up something, and it was changed in literally minutes.
