Ghost In The Shell Live Action Movie
 

Steven Spielberg has bought the rights to make a live action movie of The Ghost In The Shell,and it's to be made entirely in 3D! Personally I thnik it will be a good movie,it is Spielberg after all,but i'm also concerned that it will lead to a spate of crappy american anime adaptations (Neon Genesis Evangeleon is already in pre-production) I'd love to know what you guys think about this :vsign:

live action ghost in the shell? how will it work?

Loads of CGI, special effects, etc etc

Entirely in 3D? That's disappointing.

Ghost in the Shell COULD be an awesome live action movie. It's a shame that some of the good ideas that come out of Japan will never recieve the big budgets that are instead put into pieces of crap like "Transformers the movie".

Mind you I have to say Iron Man was decent.

Eh, 3D like Final Fantasy CGI? That isn't exactly live action is it >.>
Then again, Ghost in the Shell has a reputation for amazing animation and graphics in its movies, so i'm not surprised or disappointed.
I still find the second movie (innocence) breath taking.
As for making a movie of NGE... just NO.

I thought Transformers was awesome and done very well o.o You do know Transformers is Japanese right?

Steven Spielberg is indeed a guarantee, but he's not perfect. I mean, he produced Transformers, but couldn't manage to turn it from being a dumb eyecandy into a good movie...
This movie might turn out really good, but it also might suck...

Since it is Spielberg, I hope it becames something amazing, it as all to be a great movie. And it might feel good, since Akira and DBs Live action are doomed from the start.
