What are the current hottest Manga and Anime in Japan?

Hi folks, I'm new here, nice to meet you all!
I know Naruto and Bleach had been a huge hit in America, but now they were just "have been" in Japan.
So if you consider yourself very updated with the local Japanese pop culture, I need you to tell me what are the hottest in Japan right now, in terms of Manga, anime, games (counsel and pc), or even characters and toys.
Domo Arigato!

Naruto and Bleach still are on Japan... manga is not finished, neither the anime.

Next biggest wave

Thanks iPhantom.
Now I know Naruto and Bleach are still big sellers in Japan.
But is there anything else also huge in Japan that the America not yet has?
Or should I ask this, what is the next biggest wave that will hit America after Naruto and Bleach?
Thanks folks

Soul Eater is one

Well this is a bit of a hard question. I think you should try to make a link to this and post it maybe in one of the sections where you chat with a japanese person, but thats just my opinion.

I know Clamp is still big in japan. Clamp just started a manga awhile ago called Tsubasa and its been flying off the shelves in both countries. It shows all of Clamp's old characters.

The Prince of Tennis used to be HUUUUGE a while ago. Now that the manga has ended, the anime is finished, and that there are no more musicals being made, it's been cooled off.

most current manga in Japan now

If you look for manga that is intended for boy,
I recommend;
OnePiece, Gintama, Reborn,
they are a serial running in same magazine.

and other;
Major, Keroro-gunsoh, gandam, and Berserkr.
they all are also animmation catoon.

Current manga is mostly remake in Japan.
so why don't you check a Japanese channel ?

Thanks for your inputs.
Couple of days ago, a kid told me about "Soul Eater", is that any good? Is there an action figure for it? I'm a toy collector, so might as well ask.

Tsubasa Reservoir Chronicle definately, also xxxHolic, Naruto, Bleach and Death Note all seem to be doing pretty well in Japan lately I think...And Soul Eater has very good potential indeed lately for it's one I have also heard much about through the grapevine recently :)

I'm not a big shounen fan, but Soul Eater is interesting, so I would recommend it.
As for figurines there are some on Bennipon
Another manga that seems to be very popular in Japan is "Detroit Metal City", and it's legendary.
