Am I the only one that Skips the INTRO/OUTRO?
 

Sometimes I see people talking and getting excited about an animes intro sequence & song, same for the ending,talking about their favorite ones,etc.

Am I in the minority since I almost always,skip/fastforward thru the intros in an anime? (Am I missing out? )

Ive only seen 2 intros that I really liked and that was the hellsing one the fruits basket one.Beyond that they dont really catch my interest,Ive only seen one truly terrible one and that was the Sunabouzu intro.I made damn sure to skip that one.

i watch all intro's & outro's at least once. if i like them, i'll continue to watch them. if not, i just skip it. (n_n)v

I usually watch them every time. Only if they are extremely boring will I skip them. I haven't found one that boring yet.

Yeah that's what I do, too.

i love the beginning of vampire knight and ending....and fruits basket beginning and ending song but every other song bores me...oh and bleach i love the songs on bleach...except the first ending song....

Haha. Me too. I usually skip them as well. The first time I watch an anime though, I do watch the opening and the ending just once. If I end up liking the song, I usually listen to it a couple of times. After a while though it just starts to annoy me so I skip it. :D

I always watch an opening/ending once, just to see if I like it. If I do, then I keep watching it, but if I don't I usually skip it. But, if there's a really cool scene in it than I watch it XD

I actually liked the first ending (to the surprise of most people that know me, lol), but I didn't care much for the Happy People one. Not my style.

I do, however, absolutely LOVE the D-Technolife opening, and the Ichirrin No Hana.

As for the question at hand... I usually watch the opening and ending if I think it's worth watching.

but if I'm really excited about the episode then I'll skip the song

I allways skip,
if someone tells my there is a new good one in one of the to many series I watch I will watch it.

OP/ED can sometimes be VERY VERY good spoilers.

I usually will only skip the opening if I don't like it (Which is VERY VERY rare), or if I'm trying to marathon a series. Skipping the opening and the ending usually gives me a bit more time (About 2-4 minutes per episode which adds up when I marathon something) to watch at least one extra episode.

I don't watch anime but a lot of my music happens to be anime opening and closing songs so I do watch those on youtube until the actual song comes out... So I guess we're opposites? :p

The other reason I might skip an intro or ending is because I'm anxious to see the actual show or anxious to see the omake or the preview for the upcoming episode.

Yeah, I actually watch the intro and outro at least once each time I see an anime, after that I skip it unless it's one that I really like. Bleach's current one is a fave of mine, for example. But, I'm usually too anxious to get to the actual episode to sit through the intro everytime. HAH!

It depends.
If I had a reason to, I would... But generally I don't.

I'm the kind of person that likes to see things through from beginning to end; especially when it comes to things I'm fond of or enjoy.

Most of them i do skip, but there are a few that i just like


1. bleach 1st OP
2. Cowboy Bebop OP
3. Ghost in the shell SOC 1st OP (lol i don't even like the anime that much, just the OP)

4. Bleach 3rd ED
3. Naruto 3rd OP

and that's about it

I'll skip them all after I've watched them a few times. Unless the music is really good, but I still ignore the animation.

Cowboy Bebop's soundtrack, opening, ending, and everything in between, is amazing. I make sure to never skip those. I'll also usually watch opening and endings that are interesting to watch and/or have good music; for a while, Bleach did this, showing different endings for different captains. It was pretty cool.

Besides that though, I usually do the same: skip 'em.

I always watch the intros (because whenever I skip over them, I usually skip too far >.>), but I usually only watch the outro once or twice. :gkitty:

Yeah I do the same, if I dont like it then I wouldd just skip it or if I really wanted to know what will happen next on the anime I would Skip the Intro....

well... if the intro/ending is a good song then i'll listen to it, but if it's not then i skip it, or if i heard it too many times before then i skip it
