Have you ever been extremely caught up in story line?

I find it can happen alot, but recently in my manga reading it has been happening more and more.

So much so that I have to break now and then from reading because characters will frusterate me. This is especially so when it comes to relationships in Manga's.

Seems like everytime I find a couple that I like and want to see work, the Mangaka has other plans, and it drives me CRAZY!

Well I look forward to people's input, also feel free to bring up specific moments or situations ( prefferably no HUGE spoilers )

rarely

But when that happen i would feel that im watching a 5min show not a 20min long anime

Three animes that had me addicted to the story:
1. Full Metal Alchemist
2. Elfen Lied
3. Death Note
Although I never did get to finish FMA ;_;

Well I have a decent list of over 100+ anime and 100+ Manga under my belt, and I enjoy them alot but for one to REALLY take me in it has to have great characters and story.

In short, if the creator can make me fall in love with the characters, the anime/manga then becomes amazing.

Worse than that, something like Beet the Vandel Slayer where the author became ill and couldnt write for a few months, then when he comes back decides never to finish it leaving it on a huge cliffhanger.

1. Full Metal Alchemist
2. Fruits Basket
3. AIR
4. Code Geass

Detective Conan. LOL. My first ep was the ep where Kazuha came up, and she kept saying Kudo Kudo Kudo and I was all "Wha? Did I miss something?" Then Hattori comes and laughs and I go "Ooh I seee." Then I get a bit confused and I think "Waaait let's get things straight. Hattori knows about--" And when I got there I heard a scream and right there on the screen is someone falling from a building and I go "OMG that's coooool."

My first episode of anime. ;) Really confusing. :mtongue:

Then I go on Wikipedia and search Detective Conan. Then all this info pops up and I became the number one expert on Conan in my class. :D

Conan and Fruits basket were both very good...

I dont really care for super short ones usually.. I feel like Fruits Basket could easily have made a 100-200 chapter manga.

Deathnote pulled me in so much that I just HAD to tell everyone I knew about it and ultimately I sucked a lot of people in too! :) MISSION ACCOMPLISHED!! ::does happy dance::
