Set during the end of a fictional nineteenth century..

Sounds dull and has a strong sense of "this has all been done before".

Sorry!

Now back to the actual central theme of this post...

It doesn't occur that often in the series, but one of the more striking aspects of the animation is how certain scenes are "full motion". Full motion in the sense that the animations of the characters have more "inbetween" frames, which makes the resulting movements more fluid and lifelike.

It's been a while, but this is evident in the first episode where Taiga breaks into Ryuuji's house to get back what she mistakenly put in his school bag.

Just another reason to check out this anime, in addition to the earlier stated reasons (before the divergence into D.Gray-Man).

I like it, but I'm also looking forward to see it finished. I don't really understand the "model" character(her name escapes me), does she like Ryuuji or doesn't she?

Kawashima Ami, or "Ami-chan". She does like the Ryuuji character quite a lot in my opinion. She doesn't like the Kushieda Minori character or Ryuuji's obsession with pursuing her (she compares Minori as the sun to her moon). She also doesn't like Aisaka for many reasons, not the least of which is thinking of her as a little girl to whom Ryuuji appears content to be a father figure.
