yes, i usually do,
i am not fluent enough to understand the original japanese version,
let alone the other random languages that are offered ;[

but, when i am looking for something to do,
i often watch anime within its original intent, and sometimes with the alternative languages, such as french and spanish, for fun :]

I don´t like dubs... When I watch anime, I usually do it in original japanese version with english subs (or sometimes czech subs but I prefer english because of learning). It´s much better, japanese voices are original and they are able to scream in anime like nobody else can :D I think lots of people tell you that original versions are best :) I saw few episodes in english too, I didn´t like it too much but it´s still much better than in czech... we can´t dub at all, it usually becomes c*rap :D

lmao, you have a point there, they def have way better vocals than english actors do, and their tones usually seem to make the characters seem more alive, and make the anime feel more..homey, i guess, lol, i cannot think of how to put it in words, but all the same, it just keeps the originality... i guess since i was first introduced through the dubbing ways, i just grew used to it, and that's why i tend to lean towards them, and i watch anime in its entirety when i have free time and, like you with english, try learning some of the other languages offered xD

aww, that sucks that you cannot dub at all :[
haha, but at least you still can watch all of the goodness in other formats x]

I like Dubs more. Alot of people tell me the original version is better, but most the time reading the subs gives me a headache. Also Ive noticed in subs sometimes they spell the names of the main characters wrong or leave stuff out. I was watching Karin and it would just go blank while people were talking. That was very annoying.

I love Gravitation!! I have all the novels, but I don't have all of the manga yet. I'm working on it though as well as the remix and megamix versions. They're so naughty it's heaven!! :o

Yep, definitely more Shounen-aiish, but i guess some people do categorize it as yaoi. They like kiss and that's it though. Someone mentioned Mirage of Blaze. I didn't even know it was shounen-ai until i watched the OVA, but i only saw a couple episodes before that.

Oh, if reading while watching really bothers you, I understand. It´s just.. I feel like it isn´t the same story as japanese wanted to show us because it lose something on its originality.. But I guess it´s simply individual :)

I think it´s simple, you see sexual scenes (^__^), it´s doushinji anime/manga porn= it´s yaoi. You don´t see sexual scenes, just kissing, hugging and so (^_^)= it´s shounen-ai. This definition straight categorize Gravitation as shounen-ai.. :)

Lol, I think it loses it's originality when it's turned into a anime. If you wanted to see it with our much change just read the manga. When it's turned into a anime they cut out alot of the good parts and can sometimes cut out small important parts. Like the manga Nana, when turned into a anime had alot of the beginning cut out. Actually... The whole beginning cut out.

But, to each his own i guess :)

That's how i see it too^

I think reading mangas is better definitely, but it's also fun to see your favorite mangas made into anime. Because a manga, obviously, is only one scene shots, whereas in an anime, you get to see everything played out. Even if a lot of things are cut out.

I just recently finished the anime! I loved it! The music is rocking, the characters develope awesomely, its hilarious as well as serious, you barely notice the shonen-ai! I'd recomend it to anybody! My favorite characters are Ryuichi, Shuichi, Yuki, Hiro, and K are my top favorites, all tied for first! (Well...maybe K takes first place  ) Tohma and Fukisaki are tied for second.

Gravitation was my second shonen-ai and I loved it! I'ma read the book next ^^
