OUR Anime have hundreds millions fans world wide which is why it is very important to keep their fantasy fresh with good cosplay to keep them loyal to OUR Anime.

2. The american, western or non Asians who cosplay as Anime characters will mostly end saying bad stuff about us Asians especially about OUR cosplayers such as by saying OUR cosplayers faking [ photoshoped ] their cosplay pictures to look awesome while the real reason is those american, western or non Asian are just jealous and desperate of how OUR cosplayers who cosplay Anime characters were far much more popular because OUR cosplayers who cosplay as Anime characters were able to resemble the Anime characters facial and body form they cosplayed.

3. Causing pain to millions fans of Anime who are a fans or lover of OUR Anime characters, before you american, westerner or non Asians cosplaying you must remember the most important part that is you are going to dress as a character with millions of fans which is why you must not surprised when you get many peoples mad at you if you did it badly or you must not shocked when many peoples turn to be your fans when you did it goodly.

Here's what was done to this photo:

Her stomach was shopped to make her thinner.
Her boobs were made to appear larger.

Colorization was added.

And finally,

HER FACE WAS REPLACED WITH SOMEONE ELSE'S.

Seriously, Japan has great cosplay. No doubt about it. But if you're going to "prove" that Americans can't cosplay as well by using one of these images, at least post an original. Chances are, if you're using a shopped photo, you're really just submitting a lie.

By the way, by no means am I saying that there aren't authentic, absolutely incredible cosplays from Japan. I am merely saying that people should stop using pictures like these, and professional shots, as evidence that they're better. I'm sure there's a way we could photoshop American cosplayers and make them look just as good, but how would that prove anything?

What evidence you have that the Asian cosplayer pictures in this video were photoshoped? 1) Stop editing your posts after the fact to disprove something someone said. There are time-stamps on edits, you know.

2) More importantly, you obviously know very little about cosplay. I have been to cosplay events where "Americans and Westerners" dress up as their favorite anime, manga, and video game characters, and the point you are missing is people are not trying to look exactly like the characters, and don't feel failure if they don't. The point to to dress up, take on that character and enjoy yourself in a new skin.

Since when has cosplay been a competition between Asians and Westerners? You are trying to create a controversy that doesn't exist. Please be reasonable, and enjoy your time at Japan Forum, but I fear you just want to stir up trouble, which will make your time here short.

1. The photos that were used to compare the face proportions with the anime character are with different angles. The 'westerner' woman was photographed aside, while the Asian girl is looking directly to the camera. the who comparison is a FAIL.

2. About the hair. There are various ways to portray anime characters with same hair color.

3. Whites living in Japan experience racism just like any minority in the world? <--- What an idiotic point to prove that Anime characters aren't based on westerners.

4. Anime characters are based on asians because they cosplay better then westeners? <------ Another idiotic point to prove otherwise. Just by googling I can find a huge amount of photos where Asians awfuly cosplay anime characters (if the purpose of cosplaying is to look excactly like a character).

ok, I know this thread may be pretty much done with but I would just like to state my opinions.
1.Anime yes, is usually based upon japanese facial structures, the kid who first declared that "cosplay of our anime" should only be done by asians doesn't make any sense. I looked at his profile on youtube and it says he is from china. I mean correct me if I'm wrong but I'm pretty sure that anime comes from japan so how would that make it "your anime" just because you are asian?
2.Not all anime characters are asian! take for example Code geass, half of the characters are British including lelouch and you can't tell the difference between them. The japanese characters look just the same as the chinese and as the british characters, its because its an art style, that's all.
3.If someone wants to dress up as a character they admire or think is cool or whatever it may be, let them. How does it effect you? It doesn't mean they are trying to be asian, it just means they are showing displaying their interest in the cartoon. Besides if all the characters were modeled after asians how could they have blue or green eyes and pink hair etc? I'm pretty sure most asians don't have that, I'm just saying.

I think I'm turning Japanese I really think so!

Japan is a unique part of the world, and from what I felt living within was that people are bored, life sucked, and the alternative was to look for recreational hobbies and solutions.

I guess where that's all the fanatsies come in..

I know model making and collecting for the above 30 males was popular.

Heck, open my storeroom and yes, I must say I got caught out with many awesome, unique and very fancy Japanese knick knacks of all sorts..

I even opurchased five hand painted sexy figures that came with certificates which were actually the original pieces for the manufactured boxed models.

They cost me a bomb on Yahoo auctions Japan, and ignoring what's under the dress, the work is simply awesome..

I have now found that fantasy play within the bedroom environs with Japanese and Korean girls is a real turn on, and my latest partner from Korea just loves to use her teeth lol.. A little monster devil!

I shall tie her up tonight;)

I think this racist thing is getting out of hand..

I guess we all have negative connetations about different groups, but I do believe most people who claim they are racist against one or the other is actually ignorance..

A lot of Aussies may make a claim "Bloody Asians".

They categorize Asian into one culture but as we know, Chinese, Korean, Indonesian, Thai, Malaysian, Burmese, Lao, Cambodian, Vietnamese, Japanese, etc., are all different.. It's definitely ignorance with no logical reasoning behind it.

Of course racism in Australia is illegal so it would be difficult here to really be racist and you wouldn't get far cosindering the entire country is built on multi culturalism.

We recently had a politician who was claimed to be "racist", although all she was trying to say was that any ethinically different culture in Australia should be part of "our" culture, and "fit" in.

Esier said than done.. Imagine a refugee family from Kenya arriving on refugee status and how can we honestly claim they should be having a backyard BBQ on theweekend with a can of VB(Beer) in hand!

Maybe we don't know but I have a good idea as I have a lot of experience working, livving and making native friends in all parts, and each of the above are so different.

Infact, Thai's can't stand Indians, Korean's maybe 50% can't stand Japanese and vica versa..

I don't believe the Korean Japanese thing is deep down racism, but rather an old history thing with a more modern day non admitting frustration with a touch of fashion jealousy on the side:cool:
