The sand could easily break the dome though, easily. Haku doesn't have a chance against Garra, he uses needles, that will never touch Gaara, he uses mirrors, which are useless if they are crushed or covered by sand. He'd just make a shit load of sand and engulf (sp) the whole thing and CRUSH or send it down into the ground burrying everything.

Also, Gaara would just hide in his dome, sprout his little eye and kill Haku just by chasing him with sand.
