Does Scar really count, though? As I understand it, Alchemy is about breaking down, and reconstructing... Scar kinda... forgets about the last one, so does that make what he does true alchemy? ;)

Not denying he's badass, though.

Alchemy is about changing one thing into something completely different (water into gold, dirt into bread, etc.). Scar doesn't do that. He reconstructs things, breaks them down. He doesn't use alchemy per se. And besides, he's an Ishbalan, meaning he believes that alchemy is dark magic. Why would he do something that he considers evil??? He may have an arm that allows him to do alchemy, but he doesn't do it. He kills state alchemists with it. I don't think that's being an alchemist in my book.

What is this a trick question here? It's because they're alchemists!! He hates alchemists and becuase of that hatred, he kills them.
