Anime with medical plots?
 

I'm wondering if there are any anime that have a medical plot? Not just "person X gets sick", "these people need to find a cure for X" or "the mythical disease X is killing off people by turning their faces inside out", but something with a heavier focus on more realistic (and maybe at least relatively modern) medicine.

A nice example of a "real world" series in this category would be House.

I'm not really sure why I'm looking for this, but there is anime about... just about anything people can imagine.. so why not this. :D I think it would be cool.

Black Jack is good. I have only read the manga, but it is pretty amazing.

For each sentence or "list item", I felt my enthusiasm drop a little, so if anybody happens to know about anything more "realistic", that'd be even better. ;)

Granted, I don't watch anime or read manga, but the closest thing I've ever seen was a Nintendo Wii video game called "Trauma Center." The game is very anime-ish with it's characters and storyline, but I really am not sure if an anime/manga was ever produced. If you have a Wii, it will probably be up your alley.

The only "Medical" anime I can remember, is Monster because the main character is a Doctor. But the plot is not focused on medicine. Of course along the episodes the doctor uses his abilities to cure people but as I said, the anime doesn't focus on that.

and it is a very real anime.

I remember Trauma Center, but for one thing it's not an anime but a game, and for another it grows kinda unrealistic with monsters crawing inside your patients and whatnot.. :D

There is J-Drama that is similiar of what you are looking for, that I remember... I just can't remember the names of them! If you don't mind live action drama in Japanese, I will hunt down the titles for you when I get home from work.
