Have you ever seen your 'perfect' anime?

In your opinion, have you ever seen an anime that has just worked well on all levels, everything coming together exactly as you want, and has moved and compelled you so deeply that you would call it the 'perfect' anime?

Don't be shy to say what it is, it can be any one you want!

For me, I choose the anime Elfen Lied. It is indescribable how this anime makes me feel, and I connect with it on so many levels that for me, I would call it my 'perfect' anime. :D

Darker than Black: Kuro no Keiyakusha very impressed me. The story is really good, the characters are really misterious and obscure. The story progress is incredible, and the obscure urban climate only contribute to involve the viewer. Of course it has your humor moments which were applied at the right time without exaggeration.

Darker than Black: Kuro no Keiyakusha is not perfect because in my opnion perfection is boring, the perfect is perfect and don't have necessity to improve.

Darker than Black: ryusei no gemini begins good, but one episode after episode the Anime buries it self in the mud, and it ends horrible.

Ummmm... I don't think there is a "perfect anime" well at least in my opinion there isn't. The closest to perfect hat I think there is would be "Higurashi No Naku Koro Ni" I just think the story is amazing and the characters are all cool too. Although it does get a little to gruesome.

I really loved Samurai 7.
The atmosphere was perfect.

Cowboy Bebop had the best sound track of any anime I've seen though...

So I guess "no" to the perfect anime.

Yeah, bear in mind I mean something thats perfect in your eyes. It doesn't have to be perfect in terms of the rules of anime etc, just one that you felt you really connected to and have a bond with. :D

Just out of curiosity, have you ever seen the Seven Samurai movie? But yeah, I agree with you on that one. :D

Ahh there's one song I remember listening to from Cowboy Bebop and for some reason it annoying stuck in my head for weeks XD
I think it's called something like... Cats on Mars?

LOL! yeah that one is irritating!

I love ELM from that sound track ...

Yeah Seven Samurai was pretty epic but a little dated, a new version would be cool if done properly.
The anime is so good though, one of few I can watch more than once.

Shakugan no Shana (灼眼のシャナ), thats for me the perfect anime.

Ups, forgot about Golden Boy (ゴールデンボーイ) , the most funny anime (almost just for adults) I have ever watched.

The 5 Centimeters Per Second was incredible lovely for me. I think it was perfect in every sense of the word, but honestly speaking I think I wouldn't watch it again, as it was a bit too perfect, it'd probably make me sick. :)

Ah! I see I have so many ahead of me :), I'm so excited, how on earth will I find enough time to watch all these anime??!

I'm a bit of a sceptic when it comes to remakes. :/
I've seen too many attempts that have gone horribly wrong. And if Hollywood gets an interest in remaking a Japanese film, its basically the final nail in the coffin...

But of course if it was kept Japanese, a remake could work simply because we'd have colour and an acting style people are more comfortable with. :D

I guess you could even consider the anime as a remake, even though it's not in film form, and it's a darn good one at that! :D

I don't consider it a remake, more like... a loosely affiliated piece of work.
