i don't think so.and if it is,so what?it's up to the individual...in the aug.issue of otakuusa,crossplay master kichara wrote an excellent article on the subject.i do think females pull off characters much better than males do... i've been going to cons for years and i have seen slender young boys in female character,but few and far between...i just agree with the author,"who cares?that's awesome costuming!"...:ywave:

Those who say that cosplaying is gay are just jealous and total idiots.
But I don't think anyone would think that cosplaying is gay cause its awesome. :D

I think he means specifically men cosplaying as female characters.

It's like the men naked thing,the men that are against it are probably scared it'll have some effect on them.

Surely not, I think it`s nice when boys cosplays female characters. And anyway, in my country we have carnival and some men does also for fun costume themself als women. I think it in Anime/Mange scence is it much less a problem, cosplaying female characters, because I think Anime/Manga people generally anyway don`t have a problem with that. Only maybe some normal people, does may have some problems with that. I don`t know why, but I think there have with everything a problem, which isn`t normal or something there never see before.

Women can dress as male characters,women can wear whatever they like.

Men can also wear what there like.
And for women, I think somehow it`s a taboo, not shaving their legs. (Only women with hair on them`s leg, thar are blonde and not really visible, don`t have to shave)

And wearing what you like, doesn`t have to do with gender only, the shape of you`re body allows you to wear some stuff or not to wear it. (For example overweight people can`t wear what their like. Especially when the clothes, there like, not aviable for their size.)

Is the act itself gay? No, of course not. You're not having sex with men when you're dressing up as a woman, why would that be gay? Common sense. -_-

Though, it wouldn't surprise me if more than 50% of Crossplayers are Homosexual or Bisexual..

And it's also super sexy when guys do it well, so I have no problem with it whatsoever :3
