what makes you think we are great?

I'm glad to hear that your compliment, but what made you think that way? What aspects are so great, different or unique? as a japanese anime fan, i have been always asked why Japan has produced such unique animations? but i don't have clear answer. Just curious about your opinions!!:)

I guess each country has a different style, so they all have different ideas and drawing techniques originating from their cultures and histories.
For example, UK itself specialises (in my opinion) in more flash animation, whereas anime is is the prefered style in Japan.
Thus, the Japanese are more popular with a wider range of ideas, styles, techniques and character personalities.

Yeah I also like the mythology about the chinese dragon but I like all type of mythology I'm currently reading the arabian nights.

I agree with that.

Arabian Nights. I think I'll pass on the Southern culture there. Arab stuff doesn't interest me.

Chinese Mythology is kinda cool. But the language kills it for me. I can't stand Chinese language. I don't like Korean that much because of it's Sino influences. I apologize, I mean no offense. Chinese just sounds weird to me. I love the writing system but linguistically not at all. There's all these ang, ing and ung sounds and whatnot that I don't like. Plus it's a heavily tonal language.

Now Japanese mythology, I love that. :D

It's so fun to hear people speaking Chinese! I'm always staring. :mtongue: It seems impossible that all those sounds actually make sense.

Japanese mythology... I read something about that goddness named Amaterasu, and this other guy (whose name I can't remember) who spread sperm and that's how the Japanese islands formed.

Goddess.

Heh, Japanese doesn't have gender distinctions for female and male Gods. They're all Kami.

Amaterasu is awesome. I was pleased as peach to get to play as her on the game Okami.

Suki 07-07-2007 02:41 AM

Whatever, if it's a goddess it can't be a god, and Japanese may not have gender distinctions but we do, and since men are not women goddess are not gods, and the porr goddess of fire wouldn't like to be considered a man the same way no women would.

Suki 07-07-2007 01:41 PM

I did not type that!

LMAO it's Sun Goddess, not fire.

(you're the one who should go to bed earlier, none of this is worth staying up all night... *wonders* you're a vampire! *runs her ass off*)
