I can't find a good enough anime store

Hey guys. I was just wondering, if you shop online for anime and manga, what web-sites do you use? I've been searching for a while, and none of them have exactly what I'm looking for: box sets. Everywhere I search only has things volume by volume o.O

I shop for my anime/manga at realitylapse.com, but its a downloading site so I don't think u can get box sets

Touya 08-28-2007 12:21 AM

thisisanime.com practically any boxset for 30.00 usd

Welcome to AnimeNation - The Anime Store! ?

I'm just saying, at Best Buy ADV sells cheap-ass anime dvd sets. They're really worth it. Sooo... If you're a geek who sits inside all day and night, let your vampire skin burn and go to Best Buy or order stuff from the store you'd want.

There should be a new word invented for people like us, cos I don't think you're geeky at all. I play sports etc, watch anime, practice martial arts, chill out with friends, eclectic about loving music... is that really geeky or nerdy or Otaku-ish?
Granted.. i'm more eccentric than the rest of my friends..

I know it sounds obvious. but amazon.com usually has good prices for box-sets. Publishers also sell directly...

beast401 08-28-2007 01:49 AM

I'm not sure if you live near a Hasting's, but I find they have some of the best prices on anime, and if you live near one you will not have to wait for shipping.

LOL. You litterally made me laugh out loud. I'm not an ultra-mega geek nor an otaku. I get involved with so many activities at school, am a starter on my tennis team, and I don't always focus on Japan. :mtongue:
We can call ourselves, Coolie-Fruellies. It just sounds cool. See, I'm popular in a weird way between my friends and amongst people in school.:D :rheart:
I'm cool, but weird and people love me! :D

You can find all kinds of anime on eBay.

lol I was labelled as eccentric for a time, before most of my friends started watching the Anime and listening to the music and watching the not-so-popular movies I watched years ago. They then became addicted to it all. Now they don't know what to label me. Almost everything I used to love has or is becoming commercialised anyway! Bah!
lol anyway its good you've got a circle of friends that understands you like that. CLFR?!

I've been to Best Buy. It sucks. I've shopped on eBay too. Most people on eBay sell burned copies, and I want the real thing.

thisisanime.com is my new favorite store now ;P so thank you very much Touya ^.^

beast401 09-01-2007 12:21 AM

Yes , I have givin up on ebay. It used to be a great way to get things but now to many people out to rip you off and last second bidding wars. If you are not carefull you acn end up spending more than the item you are bidding on is worth.

beast401 09-01-2007 12:28 AM

If you go to GoHastings.com, I think they have some of the best prices, but mabye not the best selection. Also at the websight DVDtalk they have a compare prices tool that you can type a dvd set you are looking for in and it will bring up the lowest price they find online. I havn't used it much so I don't know how many sights they use to find the best prices, but you might look into it.

YennonCrow 09-01-2007 01:29 AM

thanks :) I'll be sure to take a look at that ^.^

There are lots near by me but they're expensive. Online is the best place to shop!

YennonCrow 09-02-2007 07:02 AM

I have a anime store just four miles away from me, and the prices are insane o.O B&N has manga normally priced, so I never look on the net for that. Just anime :P
