Lucy, however, has a unique love for a certain human, but is otherwise a pervect example of the ultimate diclonis. But it would have been interesting, Koata and Lucy... I doubt she would hurt him even if he cheated on her...but imagine what she'd do to the girl he cheated with 0_0

um, IMO i think ur wrong... the reason they is stated as "born killers" is because of lucy, since she was the first Diclonius if i remember right, even lucy's mother hated her she said something like "I wish that kid could give me a break, and whats up with those horn's, it gives me the chills" and lucy heard it, she found out that no1 even cared for her, the teachers didnt like her, she had no friends, her mom and dad hated her.. the kids kill a dog that lucy have been feeding, and they kill it just because lucy is taking care of it......... and when she snapped and went on a killing spree, it was because she thought Kouta only was with her because he likes "strange animals" and when he lied and said that he wasnt going 2 the festival with a girl.. she thought that evry singe human was trash and those who seemed nice only put up an act when they was with her....

i belive that it was the same for the other Diclonius that grew up with humans... i know for sure, if ppls did that 2 me just because i had horns, and i had that kinda power... i think i would've done the same, i would feel so hopeless and i would have no idea what to do, but evry time a human was like threating me as a monster i would be reminded what i went through...

I think evry single human would've snapped eventually and done the same as lucy and the rest of the Diclonius (if they ware in the Diclonius shoes)

Nana's complete devotion to "papa" is what realy got to me...
The complete innocence she displays is haunting....
The scene where the kids kill the puppy infront of lucy was an appalling look at the reality of human brutality.. and in her position i would have killed the little turds too....

There is also a kinda episode with all of them around the table in the aftermath and stuff. I think it eases our sorrows about the whole thing.

Its true that they go through a lot etc etc. Still it would take a lot for someone to kill someone, if they have any morals whatsoever about killing.
The fact is that they ARE natural born killers. It is stated plenty of times. I also agree with you however and the fact that it seems they have been given no reason not to hate humans.
The simple thing is that other Diclonii have killed since they started growing their vectors. Some have even killed their parents. So even though Lucy went through a bad time and so did Nana, others didn't and they still killed without a second thought.
We see the story mostly through Lucy's point of view though and her hurt and how she develops feelings and care, despite being a natural born killer. That is what Elfen Lied is about. The absence and power of Love.

I love that Anime, it was so beautiful and amazing, and it had a good ending unlike most >.> anime seem to.

it is by far the most tragic and saddening anime ive seen. it was awesome and fearsome but it had so much meaning put into it. i loved all the twists and everything!!! and when you think about it, is all becuz he lied to lucy...

the anime "air" and "elfen lied" are the saddest ones ive seen so far

i belive they ware stated as "natural born killers" by the humans who fear them, cant remember any1 else stating em as that... and its a verry few amount of dicloni that grew up outside the research lab.. since after lucy they either killed all the dicloni that was born or put em in the research lab

Could anyone tell me about this anime Eflin Lied? I have seen a picture of the girl and some friends of mine said it was really violent. Can someone shed some light onto this mysterious anime!

I dont think its violent though , it's very sad story yet beautiful .Definitely worth watching

in my opinion it wasnt that violent but im used to violece but you should so watch it
