Well I only care about how good it is, don't really care where it's from. Alot of mangas get theri basic topic from legend right? America doesn't have alot of it's own legends, unless you count urban ones and ghost stories.

That's the whole other thing we are discussing.

(When I first said 'manga' I meant either an american comic, or a Japanese manga or a Korean Manhwa... hmm... I'm beginning to see how problematic this can all be.

In the end I don't really care what it's called as long as they clearly state on the cover who wrote it and what country they're from)

It was never a problem until western writers started calling thier stuff manga, too.

Are we going to see AmeriManhwa, too?

Second that.

When I first read this thread I thought it compared American comics AND Japanese Manga, not as in american translations of other manga. For example "X-men" (american comic) is much more different than "Dragonball Z" (well-known manga) To answer the question, I prefer good old traditional jap, or chinese manga. I consider american "comics" and "manga" completely different graphic novels.

Yap, american comics are great, but american manga? Please no, just stick to the thing you´re really good at.

lol, Second that!

Personally, I don't like American or Korean manga. The drawings don't really look good from what I've seen and I've tried to read them. There's this one manga by the author Queenie that's being released in Australia in a magazine. That's probably the only out-of-Japan manga I like. I can't remember the title of the manga, though...

Have you looked at Banya: The Explosive Delivery Man, Shaman Warrior, or Bride of the Water God? The art in all three of these manhwa is amazing.
