For me, one of the greatest movie or anime is POKEMON. :) And, until now i adore this anime because of the cute little pokemon monsters and gives lesson on taking care of someone important. :) Helping friends and having unity with everyone.

I always have a soft spot for Digimon:The Movie. I mean it did have Angela Anaconda at the start and it did have that awful digi-tude song but it reminds me of a time Digimon was relatively popular[I actually remember seeing it in the cinema] and it's kind of like I suppose watching early dubbed Pokemon for Pokemon fans. On the other hand,Ponyo is really good[couldn't get into Spirited Away,it was just too weird even for me]. I think it's a toss-up between the two. Both are enjoyable dubbed or subbed, which you can't say for every anime.

1. Grave of the Fireflies (glad to see it's already been mentioned)
2. Ghost is the Shell (the first Mamoro Oshii movie) 3. Appleseed 4. Appleseed: Ex Machina 5. Neon Genesis Evangelion 6. Mobile Suit Gundam (the series that started it all) I don't normally mention these but Genshiken, The Melancholy/Disappearance of Haruhi Suzumiya and Gintama are also worth a look. |
My favorite manga is Record of the Fallen Vampire:vsign:
