Mattleninja 05-22-2007 11:37 AM

I did Shakespeare for my english GCSEs two years ago, I did Twelth Night and Romeo and Juliet...both are very good, I really should read more of his work.

And I got an A on Romeo and Juliet, so I like it even more because of that.

davidtmm 05-23-2007 12:47 AM

well, you have gained an Apple as well!!!

Well, I am glad you like his works, I think it's as healthy as apple. I am crazy about its style.:mtongue:

HappyIchigo 05-23-2007 05:33 PM

we've done "Macbeth" and some of Shakespeare's sonnets. I loved them a lot and occasionally a friend and me quote from Macbeth. What he says is sooo true: "There is no art to find the mind's construction in the face"

NamelessLiberty 05-24-2007 06:20 PM

Errmm..i have done Macbeth, Othello, A Midsummer Nights Dream and loads of others including some of his poems/sonnets.

I really like his work and i enjoyed doing Macbeth whilst in English Literature.

I like Hamlet.
"We do it wrong, being so majestical. To offer it the show of violence......"

and Romeo and Juliet is good too.

ff12guy 05-24-2007 11:48 PM

Romeo O Romeo (Barf) im sorry i just dont like Romeo as mush
i ve had to read that story 3 times this school year its kind of borring now
i aloso had to retake this english class so all together ive read it 4 times
seeen the old and the new movie i think they should have thought the whole fake death thing through more that way they could have fake died together
and then they could have died and woke up then go to hawie but the first
time I read the book it was good better than Harry Poter LOL ok

I quite liked Macbeth, as well as The Tempest. There happens to be a Japanese movie version of Macbeth (as well as King Lear) by the legendary Japanese filmmaker himself, Akira Kurosawa.

Yggdrazzil 05-29-2007 01:53 PM

I've read the english versions of Romeo and Juliette, Hamlet and MacBeth, barely remember anything of them though, was a while ago. Our teacher wanted us to play out Macbeth in "ye olde english"... that was VERY hilarious but didnt really work out in the end XD

deadthinker 05-30-2007 03:38 AM

i studyied romeo and juliet and we were forced to watch one version where romeo was played by leonardo decaprio (sorry cant spell) it ruined it
but i have read a few i think i like hamlet best

i know its not shakespere but seen as english lit was mentioned i wondered if anyone read of mice and men????
