the best conversion from Book to Cinema has to be the Lord of The Rings trilogy.

O.O Have you read the books? So many important characters were cut out of the film; where was Glorfindel? How could they forget about him?

The best based-on-book movie (in my opinion) is Fight Club and Dead Poets Society.

There is always going to be something cut out or whatnot. Even so, I think the Lotr trilogy was done very well. A lot of time and effort was spent on it and it was very good to watch. You can't deny that.

I'm just dreading the conversion of my favourite Sword Of Truth series of books into a tv series -_-'

It's one of the more recent films staring Al Pacino! It's rather good!

The Green Mile! That's such a good movie! I love the part when Mr. Jingles gets resurrected <3 Tom Hanks just surpasses expectations as usual.

I know, you can't fit a 1000-paged novel into a movie without shortening the original plot. But Arwen was just as relevant to the story as Glorfindel, and she completely took over his part! Legolas stole his appearence and Arwen was put in his part and given so much credit... *disappointed and mad*

The trilogy is entertaining though but there're some major mistakes... most of them are unnoticable unless you watch it in slow-mo, but they're there, like the red car in the scene where Frodo is about to leave the Shire and he and Sam are eating apples or something. Btw, did anyone notice Frodo's nails? o.Ô

lol I love all those movies, cept The Stand cos I haven't even heard of that.
The Shining especially because No. Johnny 5 in Short Circuit 1 & 2 uses "Here's Johnny" for himself a lot :D (which also happen to be two films I love.)
I also agree that The Green Mile is an awesome movie :D Tom Hanks doesn't always do good roles though. I was pretty disappointed with The Lady Killers, even though his character wasn't that bad and I preferred Marlon Wayans to everyone else in that movie.
Of course Forrest Gump is a classic.

ps. The Last Samurai was alright in my opinion. Nothing amazing and nothing too crappy.

I like The Butterfly Effect alot. Just amazing ^.^
Requiem for a Dream's good too. Jared Leto's my favourite actor after all, lol.

I like horror movies (not sadistic ones). Specially Japanese, but it has to be non-Japanese right?:P

I don't know about the worst one...there's just too many of them xD

Any movie you love or hate lol
Requiem for a Dream was simply.. disturbing. Awesome movie but I was just really disturbed when I first finished watching it. Sarah Connelly very much reminded me of someone I loved to death, so the conclusion of that movie really really shocked me.
Which reminds me, Blood Diamond was also awesome! I used to hate Di Caprio but he totally made that movie excellent.
