I am not a native English speaker, but I have learnt it since a small age i.e. when I started school, Arabic is my first language By the way. I prefer to write good English with good grammar and not the slang English that many people on the internet use. I really feel irritateed when I see that.

I think on forums people should practice writing English with good grammar because it's a forum in the first place, so people should not be in a hurry, they can take their time in writing a post, no one will shout at them "Why are you slow D:". Actually I feel that I am faster when I write good English and not slang English. Yes, writing "How are you?" is much easier for me than writing "Hw r u"

As well I think on a forum of this nature where many people are foreign it's only polite to write in proper English otherwise people could find it difficult to understand.

Spelling mistakes drive me up the wall. Typos can happen to anyone when trying to type at full speed, but there's (<-- grammar mistake =P) people on this forum who don't give a flying damn and just type away whatever comes most easily, which -let it be said-, does them no good.

Ps- English is my third language; therefore, I can be excused

everything is relative and contradictory ~

English is not my first language Actually its spanish so we really cant use that as an excuse its mostly because were lazy ass hell to type out the whole word. I mean its like 3 secs of our life well never get back you know.
Personaly for me I use slang to write to my friends but when im talking to new people I tend to type the whole word out which sucks but hey its polite so yeah. ^____^

If I could go to Spain or Japan and study the respective languages in those places, I would die happy XD . As it is, my grasp of Spanish grammar is great, but my vocabulary is so bad that I couldn't hold a conversation with another speaker if my life depended on it, and I'm just starting on Japanese. Fortunately, langauge comes fairly easy to me (unlike math).

I'm jealous XD
Hehe, I certainly do hope you are able to achieve your dream one day.
It seems like we are total oposites then . Math seems innate to me, whereas languages confuse the heck out of me.

There are a few people whose spelling is so bad I sometimes can't understand what they are saying, but that also to do with the fact their thoughts are so fractured that I woudn't be able to understand it if it was spelled correctly.

Noodle, I have never thought anything negative about your spelling and grammar. I think you are actually one of the better users of English here.
I guess my teachers in school were very severe then (Grammar Nazi's, perhaps?). Sometimes when I read over some of the posts I've written, I think to myself; oh gosh, there are so many mistakes and then I would remember how my teachers' laughed at my English when I was young .

As for thinking someone is a teenager due to their written level, I understand. In fact, I agree! I tend to think from time to time that certain members are really young. But generally, they do turn out to be young teenagers.

Actually you want to say "I seem to be one of the few 14-year-olds who speak English well."

Sorry. I couldn't resist.
