You are very wise, my friend.

America has all these things wrong with it and yet almost the rest of the world has everything about itself in check already.

But what do you know about the rest of the world? I don't mean to be so direct, but I feel like a broken record when I say, again today, that the people that say "I hate America" most often have never lived anywhere else, so you really don't know what it means to live in America and appreciate what you have until you have lived somewhere else.

Do you think as a person of color things are going to be "in check" in Japan? In Korea? In almost every other country in the world? (your words)

You have a point there. Sure I never lived anywhere else in the world, but don't you think that maybe i'm not old enough to go anywhere else? when I am old enough to do so and when I have learned the language, I'll move to Japan. I was planning to do so when I had the funds to do so and when I have the approval of my family. My parents don't want me to move far because they are very protective of me and they love me very much. I doubt they'll accept, but they won't try to stop me if it's my choice. And btw, at least other countries don't make your lives miserable because you're different. They like different. And like I said in my previous post, I stand by my opinion. :)

I'll agree and disagree at the same time to that statement.

Put a sock in it. We've heard it all before.

I don't think Americans know what freedom is. It isn't insecurity, that's for sure...

Hehehe. You're a tad right for once. But only on this view, not your general direction.

I used to hate Australia for the same reason most Yanks hate America. After I moved to Thailand, I still hate Australia, but now I've come to realize the rest of the world DOES suck just as bad...

So I am correct that experience leads to knowledge, but I am still supposed to respect your opinion, despite the lack or experience or knowledge.

I have a feeling you will be much more appreciative of your life in America after you get back from that first extended stay in Japan, which I am sure you will achieve if you are determined.

Which countries are you talking about? I hope not Japan

I am not racist and I certainly am not a prick. You call someone racist, if you call someone racist, you yourself are it too. :p

You just lumped all white people into a single group, and said they make your life worse.

Please explain yourself further if you think this isn't racism (not that I really care, just want to know your excuse).

MMM 08-04-2009 06:47 AM

Stop. Both of you.

Tenchu 08-04-2009 06:50 AM

Why? This is on topic. It thinks white people spoil the essence of the great US of A. Perhaps, upon explaining, we'll come to realize an actual point.

Don't just tell us to stop. How about asking us nicely to just keep it civil (which I am; I really don't care why it thinks I ruin its life).

I'm sure I'll like my life in Japan more than my life in America. And so what if i say Japan accepts people who are different? I know they do. They have communities over there where the residents are of carribean background. If that's not an acceptance of differences, then what is?
