President Bush gets hit by shoes!
Well today's Bush last visit to Iraq he got thrown a shoe that nearly hit him by an Iraqi journalist. I know everybody hates him but is it a little bit harsh throwing stuff at him. Does anybody find it that bush deserves it?
|
I don't know what to say. But for me, I think he did his best to make the United States strong.
|
It was hard being a President for Bush where he got blamed for everything. Although I did not really supported what he did but still he does not deserve people throwing stuff at him
|
well if you can't kick him go with the next best thing
|
He don't deserve that.
He deserves to be impaled. |

He didn't get hit exactly.
He did look like a surprised Chimp though, which looked hilarious. |
Is not like oh please dont hit Mr. Bush. I am just saying is kinda mess up. Yeah he did horrible stuff that all people have to pay for his mistakes but I don't see others getting blame as he is. I don't see congress getting blame for things too.
|
All presidents are just the same. Who elected Bush? The same people that now hates him. We never had a president that we can trust. Do you think Obama will make a difference? No, he'll just be the same as Bush.

I have to admit it but I did found it funny on the look of Bush's face. I was going to put a picture but never mind. Is too funny like you said. It was priceless his expression. |

For me, seeing Bush get hit by a shoe, and Cheney hit by a meteor would make me very happy. |

Ok, this is really annoyin me...everytime I read a threa don here about somethiung that happened, it comes on or I see it on Yahoo...I just saw the thing about Bush.
-agrees about the chimp part- |
Damnit! I just saw it on youtube.
Two things... -I wish the shoe hit -I wish the shoe were a knife or shuriken. |
And I cant believe these Iraqis. If it wasnt because of Bush, Hussein would still be alive and Iraq will be worse. I mean, Iraq is really bad right now but it's worse when Hussein was still alive.
|
i maintain when a country gets to fed up with a dictator in the end they'll handle it themselves...

The US has had quite a few outstanding presidents in its short lifespan. I believe our president-elect to be an intelligent and compassionate, yet tough, leader. Is this just some America hate? I asked an Iraqi man about his thoughts on us capturing Saddam Hussein. He said it was a great thing and the country's better, but to catch a rat, you don't destroy the house. Obviously he's never watched Mouse Trap though :D |

Finals are making me a bit stressed, but this honestly made my entire week. |
His aim definitely could have been better:) I think Bush completely deserves. Maybe it's a little better with Hussein not being there, but I'm sure there are others waiting to take his place. I agree that the people of the country should be forcing the revolution if they want one, and if they don't, why are we even there? I recently did an essay on democracy promotion, and recent polls showed that "even Arabs who value democracy" didn't want our help with it basically. I don't think democracy can be forced on people.

i just watched it and it just made my week seriously that shit was funny
|
Ugh, this old chestnut again. It seems like every time somebody happens to spit in Bush's general direction everybody is up in arms about how he deserves it. Its like all the children on the playground ganging up on the teacher that told them recess is over, he doesn't really have any power over the situation yet everybody resents him for it. When you get right down to it the president has very little power in the U.S political system, to be honest I'm suprised he can blow his nose without congressional approval and a curt nod from the supreme court.
But when the metephorical shit hits the wall the people don't want to take responsibility for their actions they need to blame someone else. So they blame the person with the most percieved power. That said, if you want to throw a shoe at somebody try the next person you see that was of voting age in 2000, anybody that votes split ticket, or perhapse, if you feeling particularly adventurous, youself. |

Besides, I gave everyone hell who didn't vote this year, and those who wasted their votes on the independent candidate. |
From what I hear, throwing a shoe at someone is the ultimate insult in the Arab world, so as random (and even funny) as it probably appears, there is some meaning behind the act.
Shoes and insults hurled at Bush on Iraq visit | World news | The Guardian Gotta admit his face was priceless. He also has good reflexes. :mtongue: |
Showing the sole of your shoe is the insult. Throwing it is just plain funny
|
For all the people complaining about Bush, what happened in 2004?
And on the shoe bit, the President is still the President, show a little respect. |
Well it's rude to wang shoes at anyone to be honest.
But it was funny and I couldn't help but laugh at the way he ninja dived and avoided both attacks, haha. You could see him loling in the background. A speechbubble saying WTF?! would probably have been appropriate xD |
good reflexes agreed.
but who cares? really >< |

As for voting, considering that this is a democracy the idea of a wasted vote lies somewhere between a unconsionability and heresy. I didn't like McCain, I didn't like Obama, I read into every single person on my ballot and I cast my vote for the guy I thought would be the best choice reguardless of who everybody else was voting for. But following the wasted vote logic, because of the electoral college and the domination of the U.S political system by the republicrates I could make the assertion that every vote is a wasted vote. But I like to color myself an optimist so I'll go out and say that every vote should count no matter where it goes. |
Has anyone ever thought that it may be rude to shoot someone in the face, yet we watch or have watched movies where this happens frequently?
Laugh people: the President of the US, the most powerful man in the free world, got a shoe hurled at him, and he "wasn't threatened by it". |
Honestly who throws a shoe? THIS GUY
I wish it would have hit him HELL i wish i was the one that threw it. As an American i have been embarrassed by Bush for the past 8 years( i voted against him TWICE) at least in his final waining hours he offers a bit of humor on the way out. Oh well even if i dislike him with the fire of a thousand burning stars he is still a world leader and as such a little respect should be given. |
he may be not the best president but wow.. he's one hell of a shoe dodger !

"My President senses are tingling!"
*Dodge* |
Oh, come on, Bush wasn't that bad, he screwed up, so what? Like you never screwed up and f... up the country? It happens...
But boy, what a douche, just because he dodge both shoes he had to rub it in the poor guy's face... »_» |
All I have to say, is that Bush is sure nimble for a man his age.

Bush does have some pretty good reflexes. I'll give him that. |

i was wondering because those reflexes were hella fast but you think presidents have reflex training
"mr. president at 10 is your reflex training in dodging flying objects." ha ha |
