I think their approach on V-Day is interesting. As stated earlier, it involves both sides, which is really nice. That and I don't think I've ever seen a girl around here that makes their own chocolate...domestically challenged, lol.

As a teacher, I have a pretty close relationship with my students, and as I'm a foreigner, they seem to be able to tell me things that they won't tell each other. I know who likes who in my class, it's amazing how much romantic intrigue is going on. What's more amazing is how difficult it is for them to express their feelings to each other. Most never do.

I have a bag sitting next to my desk here in my apartment, and in the bag are several boxes of chocolates which many of the girls in my class have given me. It's a good thing that I like chocolate. I made a list of the girl's names so I can return the favor next month. I had my gf order me a large box of 白い恋人 cookies, hopefully I'll have a few packages left over after White Day, they are very tasty.

I hear that kissing and hugging in public is bad is that true ?

It's like that in the states too...you kiss someone or hug "a little too long" and people start muttering and giving you the "get a room" look, lol.

Dude...You're arguing with a native Japanese person when you live all the way in Europe. You need to do a little bit of reading my friend =PP

There was something about the first part in Vampire Knight.

No, it works exactly how NagoYankee said it does.

NOT AT ALL. It's not a competition, you're making it more complicated than it is.

HERE'S HOW VALENTINES DAY WORKS IN JAPAN: All the women buy all their male friends AND their husband/boyfriend a box of chocolates.

Then, a month later, the men do the same thing to the females.

Nothing more, nothing less.

Finally someone with some knowledge in this thread...
