Is Pepsi now Japanese?

The Japanese brew company, Suntory, won the bid for the New Zealand-based company, Frucor, for $762 million, and Frucor in turn own the American-based PepsiCo.
Not saying I care if Pepsi is American or Japanese, but I'm just wondering who has the upper hand here.
Does Suntory now gain most of Pepsi's profit, or should Pepsi be considered 1/3 Japanese?

No your information is not correct. PepsiCo is not owned by the Auckland based Frucor. Frucor merely has the bottling and distribution rights for PepsiCo's products within New Zealand. While Suntory is not a small company by any means, it's $15 billion (USD) market share doesn't come anywhere close to the $107 billion market cap that Pepsi has.

Yes, Pepsi is still a U.S. company.

Pepsi has factories all over the world.

Sometimes Pepsi owns the factory.

Sometimes they hire another company to make it for them.
