... how does it work? Is it just a layer of water on glass or something?

miguada 03-25-2009 10:28 AM

Wow, now that is an amazing picture!

I can only assume theres 2 or maybe more layers of glass with water running between each to get the depth feeling and the wave effect...? Its pretty awesome though! Anyone know where this is or if it still exists?

miguada 03-25-2009 11:03 AM

I don't know if it still exists- hopefully because it's awesome!

Why do you think there should be so many layers? One layer of thick glass should be sufficient imho + the water on top of it, of course.

But yeah, this thing is cool =)

miguada 03-25-2009 11:34 AM

so you're saying that maybe the water is just sitting on top of the glass - sounds like it could be!

Still can't get over how cool it is!

Hate to burst the bubble but, while it`s IN Japan - it`s not "Japanese". It`s the work of Leandro Erlich, an artist from Argentina.

He has done some other rather interesting and impressive things - you can see them on his official page.
