@sephiroth
then what movie do you feel had a character that was played the best no the best movie, but an actor who played a character flawlessly

Nicole Kidman in "The Hours"
Robert Di niro in "Casino"
They actually played their parts well without hype, read the reviews.

I never like any Superman just for the reasons you made.

Compaqmac321 05-09-2009 01:15 AM

ive seen those movies, they werent amazing to me

to me denzel washington as malcom x and the hurricane were official too.

have you ever seen any of the supermans with christopher reeves?

On topic wise, out of both Al Pacino wins hands down.

Don't get me wrong, Heath was amazing as the Joker. Spectacular. However, Al Pacino never fails to impress with his acting. Simply amazing.

Getting more attention because of a lead actor's death and being overrated are two different things.

exactly, heath dying might sell tickets, but im not talking about sales or even the movie itself
hes had another movie after batman that ppl rarely even mention (it comes out this year)

You asked for films were characters were played flawlessly and I listed some, the films dont have to made great impression.

those movies you listed also are right but in Training Day, the acting was almost flawless.

i have but Batman movies have always been better organised story-line terms.

Compaqmac321 05-09-2009 01:35 AM

training day too, i just thought that alot of ppl didnt see it so i didnt mention it
and what i meant was they werent played that flawlessly to me
even tho the hours got oscar nods and won

I think you are missing the point here, the characters is what is being discussed here not the film as a whole, right? Heath Ledger might play Joker well while the film is overrated.

im not missing the point, i made the thread
and NICOLE KIDMAN got the oscar for her role in the hours so im not talking about the movie.
the only time i mentioned something about movies itself was when some1 said they thought both movies were overrated, and i made a side comment on that

its always been about the characters, like i stated from the start
