How to vote:
  • All votes will be done by private messages to maintain peoples anonymity so voting is not influenced or on show.
  • Choose the categories which you are voting for, and put the username of the person you want to vote for next to that category. EG. Male of the Year Award : MrSmith.
  • You do not have to vote in all categories.
  • If you are unsure of a persons gender, then let me know in the PM.
  • Once you have decided on all your nominations, PM all your votes to me, MissMisa, for them to be counted and tallied.
  • I will reveal the results in 3 weeks time, to give everyone the chance to vote.

Rules:

  • You MAY vote for the same person in multiple categories.
  • You MAY NOT vote for more than one person in each category.
  • You MAY disclose your votes to other members if you wish. But you must also respect that a person might not want to disclose their votes.
  • Moderators MAY participate in the voting.
  • You MAY vote for yourself. (Shame on you! Lol :) Joke, joke.)
  • Members must have been on the forum for 1 MONTH in order to vote. I'm sorry to have to penalise new members, but this rule is to stop people creating other accounts and voting for themselves.
  • Members must not have been banned, had any infractions, or warnings, during the time the award voting has been opened. Anyone votes for members who fit this criteria will not be counted.

If you have any further questions or don't understand the rules, then feel free to PM me.

VOTING ENDS ON THE 1ST AUGUST 2009.

I've decided to open the Japan Forum awards nominations to allow discussion. This means that it will be easy for people to notice it if they haven't already.

Aniki 07-27-2009 10:00 AM

It's not over yet?! WOW.

Salvanas 07-27-2009 10:02 AM

iPhantom 07-28-2009 02:30 AM

Don't vote the banned guy. Vote me!

MissMisa 07-28-2009 08:08 AM

Since Quailboy is currently banned, votes for him will no longer be counted. Votes are for Japan Forum members only.

If you wish to re-use your vote on another candidate, that is fine.

I can't remember what categories I voted in him for.

Besides, I'm told it is only a couple day ban. If no one is permanent banned, and they're coming back, then I think you should still count the vote.

If everyone who had a temp ban was not counted then ... well, I wouldn't win anything... ... anyway.

VampireGirl1314 07-28-2009 09:19 AM

Its only a one day ban..he's back tomorrow so, he will be an official JF member before the voting is closed.

MissMisa 07-28-2009 09:25 AM

Once a member has been banned during the competition, he/she is out of the running. What kind of example would it set if recently banned members were allowed to be voted for?

Anyway, I will think about this situation and get back to you.

Is there a rule for that?

It's just common sense.

No it isn't.

MissMisa, if he isn't going to be counted in the votes, then remove all my votes. I don't want to take part.

Salvanas 07-28-2009 10:56 AM

If someone does something in life, that requires a punishment, do you reward them after?

And guys, seriously, you're making a huge deal out of something that isn't.

MissMisa 07-28-2009 11:19 AM

I've decided on a solution. I am displeased with it, but I think it is fairer.

Quailboy's votes will count for now. But if he recieves a warning, an infraction, a ban, or anything of that nature, during the time the awards are open, his votes will be withdrawn. Fair deal?

I've decided to do this only because I didn't have a rule for this in the first place, but it is there now. Maybe because I didn't expect people to vote for someone who will be potentially banned.

The only real life I have is due to things that people seek punishment for.

nobora 07-28-2009 04:33 PM

The results will be up on Monday, for sure.
