It better be Chinese, because in Japanese it is two parts of the three that mean
"visitor" or "sojourner"

how the heck is that Zack in english. you can't translate chinese/japanese or mostly any asian name to an english name.

I think its the sound of the words that make up his name.
In chinese, the word is pronounced 'Zai Ker' [sounds like zack]
therefore it's a CHINESE tattoo, not a japanese one.
