Help -Kyoko Yamamoto-Fukuoka City - 08-29-2009, 02:53 PM

Hi, first post here and I am in a frustrating situation. My mother died somewhere around the 27th of August in Fukuoka City. I hadn't seen her in 40 years but had kept in contact with her. Received a phone call from Fukuoka police, Thursday August 27th that she had passed away. Due to language barrier very little information has been received. If anyone on this site knew her or could possibly print an obituary from the paper I would be greatly indebted. Here was her address:
#6-27st Omiya-1Chome
Chuoku Tomoe SO 103
Fukuoka City, Japan T810-0013.

Thank You!

It would be difficult to find an obit without knowing her name in Japanese.

So what you are saying is the Japanese spelling for Kyoko Yamamoto is what you would need? I don't have that. Thanks to everyone for their help so far. It is greatly appreciated.

It wasn't clear that the Kyoko Yamamoto in the title was your mother's name.

Yamamoto could be either 山本 or 山元. The Kyo of Kyoko could be one of any number of kanji.

Um... Don't you have other relatives living in Japan who can speak to?
