HE is like nice and exciting and cool but i just am new to this so any suggestions from people who have? |
Just act normal?
Offer to show him around and try to be his friend. |

The real answer is patience and trying not to interpret anything from your perspective rather than his.

I went to Japan, and my host "sister" was extremely normal.
It was shocking at first, but surprisingly it was the least awkward month of my life. We went to a dinosaur museum, went to the ocean, temples, went and watched fireflies, played with fireworks, went shopping at the local grocery store, played video games, read manga, watched T.V., talked about social differences and ironies while enjoying frozen mandarin oranges. Those are my favorite memories. :D Just do entertaining things, show him the local sights, and take him to the mall. Just do whatever feels natural... maybe ask him what he wants to do. |
It's just a way to show him that not every American is a Cowboy...wait, your from Dallas Texas..never mind. ;)

hey thats messed up man. im acctully from germany and lived in miami florida for 6 years of my life.

Ugh Miami, what a hell hole. I admire you for surviving there that long long . You deserve a metal, its not just the criminals its the heat, hurricanes and just city life that make it bad. I'll stick with my tiny town in the panhandle. |
I'm from Iowa, so I am a fully qualified Hick.

On October 24th and 25th there is a Japanese Fall Festival at the Ft. Worth Japanese gardens. He might enjoy that and give you both something to talk about his home.
BTW, I have 2 cowboy hats. |
I would say that since Japanese people usually eat rice at least once a day, and often three times a day, make sure he has a chance to eat white rice and Japanese food at least once in a while.
Find a nice Japanese restaurant in Dallas so he can introduce you and your family to Japanese food. |

Also, given your initial description I wanna go ahead and say: don't try anything... untoward. I know how some Americans are about Japanese boys. I like Burkhartdesu's post about his favorite memories. Give your host brother something like that. Especially show him the things your area is famous for. Don't be afraid to go do touristy stuff, because that's kind of why he's there. |
