avadedrahetarra 10-18-2009 05:21 AM

Greetings. :)

I'm Avadedra, but it's easier just to type Ava. =^__^= I'm in my mid-20s, but don't let that bug ya. I'm a dork and a weirdo and a freak and all that jazz. :D I'm stuck in the southern part of the US where people freak out when it hit 50 degrees outside. :coldbear: LOL! Like, OMG IT'S GONNA SNOW or something.

Anyway, I actually registered for the site quite a while back, but things got in the way of me actually becoming somewhat active. So, now, here I am! ^_^ I hope that's cool.

I'll probably tell ya more when you try and get to know me. Until then, take care and I'll see ya around. ;)

~AVA~

I was living in Canada for 7 years, now I am in Italy, but Japan and generally Asian culture, history, mentality, lifestyle, recently music of any kind, folklore...always have been interesting to me, I have said many years ago, one day I want to be browsing japanese villages, having sake with locals in local pub, talking to them with my hands, spending time maybe working, helping some older people doing some seasonal work on they garden, I am not too much interested in Tokyo, I had enough of Toronto. Small village somewhere in mountains...will be my next destination with God help, maybe, one day...

My name is John I'm 19 yrs old (20 in a few days)
Im a college student with a Computer Forensics Major and thinking bout a major in Computer Science as well.
I have been interested in Japan primaraly because of anime/manga. Then I tasted japanese food and I was like (fck anime, this food is great!) Then I did a little bit of research on the culture and felt completely in love with the place.
I plan on taking a vacation to Japan pretty soon and hitting up all the bars and restaurants and their landmarks.

I joined this forum to be with people who like japan or have vast knowledge of it so I can learn from them what they know. Also to be with people who are just like me, in the sense that we share a common place of interest. :P

Hello

Hi All!
I found this forum while searching for Japanese recipes, i'm 28, British-Asian female(meaning my parents are both from India originally but i'm british born and raised).
I've recently been getting very interested in Japanese food as i'm a little overweight and want to lose some weight, while researching recipes on the net I found that Japan has some of the longest life expectancies in the world, which many attribute to the Japanese diet which is said to be one of the healthiest in the world, and also that Japanese women have the lowest rates of obesity.
Seems a nice forum and there's a section for recipes so I thought i'd join to see what I can learn, right now i'm living on fish&chips and curries lol

Hello all members of the forum,

I'm from the U.S but born in Mexico and I've been a fan of Japan since forever. I'm 22 years old and a junior in College. This semester I decided to take Japanese class and the instructor is great. However, I also wanted to find out if I could improve my Japanese elsewhere and I think this is a cool place to do that. I want to go to Japan someday to explore and learn about some of the culture that I've been hooked up with for a long time.

Anyways, I hope we can come acquainted and in the meantime I'm going to check out the forum.

Yorishiku onegaishimasu(I hope that meant what I meant lol)
