Its just some middle-aged womans sexual fantasy.

I am a boy in his early 20's and it is mine too:mtongue:

Some people do get into it WAY too much though. The writing is atrocious but that does not stop me from wanting Edward. Yes, I am sometimes like a 12 year old girl...

Here in Japan I`ve barely seen anything to do with it. I think I spotted a little poster in the corner of a shop telling when the first DVD would be out.
No, wait, I think the tiny picture was in a used book store as it was pushing discounted novels.

Really not much publicity here.

there are as many 30's to 40's women that very hooked on it .. they are only just now starting to openly admit it ...

i compare the books to a modern twist of a harlequin romance novel ...

What? You're a homosexual in his early twenties who takes interest in stuff marketed to 12 year old girls?

This speaks levels about Twighlight fans.

Ugh, all of my friends and even some family members are into it.
It's extraordinarily overhyped. I read the first 3 books back in the day and thought they were okay. Then I saw the movie and thought it was cheesy as hell.
Plus, sparkly vampires? That's the dumbest idea ever. Vampires are supposed to burn up in the sun!!!

I'd say the Twilight series is more appealing commercially than as an actual piece of literature.

Just hearing that makes me cringe. As a self proclaimed scholar, I feel insulted when someone calls Twilight a piece of literature.

London is over-run by Twilight fans. The thing that has surprised me, is while I was at some traffic lights yesterday, I heard a conversation between two middle aged women. It went along the lines of:

"Did you read Twilight yet?"
"Yeh I did. It was absolutely amazing."
"Yeh, dreamy huh."
"Yeh, Edward is just amazing. My husband isn't too happy that I keep talking about him."

I shouted out the window at them saying "Hey, Ladies! Take my advice. Grow up and read some proper books. I feel sorry for your husband."

When did the backstreet boys get super powers?

Runba 11-24-2009 07:39 PM

Not really, I dont talk to people who like Twilight, I barely see people with Twilight shirts, my sister reads it but thats about it.
