A question to saxophone players

I'm looking to learn the saxophone, and have been looking for some saxophones that are cheap, yet reliable to start with. I'm looking for a tenor, since I love the sound of a tenor.

Could any give me any tips on where to buy them? Thanks.

Saxophones Shop. Buy Saxophone Online: Soprano Saxophones, Alto Saxophones, Tenor Saxophones
yamaha and cecilio are good.

Yamaha for sure, on beginner saxes

I would recommend you to buy a not so good sax first. Since you are just starting to learn , no point buying a ex one.. Are you staying in singapore? i know somewhere that you can get a cheap sax bout $300 but it's from china.
:)

Oh if you're in America, definitely check craigslist and ebay and the newspaper....I bought my first sax out of the newspaper, used. Buying used will most likely be your best bet.

Thanks for the tips. I live in London, so unfortunately those two places are out of the question :P

However, I'm sure I can find some around here. Second hand is always good, but, I've heard that sometimes they can go out of tune REAL easy.

Well, if by second hand you mean used, that can sometimes be true, but hardly ever. It just depends on how well they kept the sax, how long they've been playing it, how much they used it and all that stuff.
