U.S. Space Shuttle Atlantis & U.S. Space Station...

Okay, I just got inside from going out into the cold and watching the U.S. Space Shuttle Atlantis, as well as the U.S. Space Station fly over head. It's 5:19pm, and it was so cool!! X3

Okay, anyway, I don't remember if this was supposed to be a world-wide thing where everyone could see them with the naked eye (without a telescope,) or if this was just for the U.S....Sorry if I'm wrong! T.T

But I wanna know, who saw it???? XD lol...

P.S. Happy Thanksgiving to you all from California! XD

Kandierain15 11-27-2009 01:32 AM

uh that was happening? for real? just now? wow i didn't even hear about it. Would i have seen it here in Ohio??

IamKira 11-27-2009 01:35 AM

prob not.. geosync orbit percludes a lot of the world from view, but @ that time most south central - and pacif states would have had viewing pleasure

Kandierain15 11-27-2009 01:43 AM

oh that kinda sucks. ive been to a space museum... just actually never seen anything pass over by. that sounds really cool.

honoraryjapanesegirl 11-27-2009 02:03 AM

Nah, they said it would be viewable for all of the U.S., but I wasn't sure if they said over the world as well...it was really aweshome...and surprisingly slow, for that matter...lol...

The Space Station was the brightest (no surprise there,) but the Space Shuttle was also very bright. I was surprised at how bright it was...lol

Anyone else hear about it or see it? XD

Well, I'm off to go enjoy the fruit of my labour...(my Thanksgiving meal...lol) Have a wonderful day everyone!! XD

Thank you. Russia, Japan, Canada, Belgium, Denmark, France, Germany, Italy, The Netherlands, Norway, Spain, Sweden, and Switzerland are all represented in the construction, use nad maintenance of the project in addition to the U.S.

Somebody needs to do a little more thinking and/or research before expounding on subjects they have apparently limited knowledge of.
