Japan? or Asia
 

Hello!:D Hey guys...do you find, like me:D that what has started as an innocent interest in Japan has now branched out into an interest into different Asian cultures? Hence the reason why I look at other websites like koreanfilm and blue moon and the tiger beer website.

However when it comes to things I actually want to discuss I love the Japan Forum because of the story games but mainly because I feel like I have something to say and more things in common with you guys.

actually i started out liking a lot of asian things in general and then i became more focused on Japan. But I still like many different types of cultures!

But I think that South Korean films have got a lot in common with Manga...there is the darkness and computer game like plot of Old Boy, the epicness of Seopyeonje etc. I learnt a lot fro comparing different Asian cultures. Japan is still the focal point of my interest but it has also helped me understand and appreciate different Asian cultures that before felt too alien and different.

i am interestd in nearly allll of asia but thats not because i love japan i just find dif cultures interesting ^^

So you don't think that knowing a lot about one part of Asia effected your interest?

nope, i had seen a lot about other countries, but Japan was love at first site! *maybe i should say that in the love at first site thread*:D

hmm..well i think it did to a degree seen as some of the culural aspects are similar but i think i still would of been interested in them if i wasnt interested in japan.....do get me???

With ya! I do kinda agree really. Living in the UK, so far away from Asia, it is more of a danger to just lump all Asian things together than to really understand an individual countries culture. Its like that website Oldboyghost mentioned in that other thread. The one which had all the best things of Asia? That pissed me off a bit....even though I was interested.

am in asia and i like japan but i like my country more then japan

I'm more interested in Japan,but I can say i'm also interested by a bit of other Asian cultures,specially from China and Saudi Arabia.I guess Singapore and Malaysia may have interesting things too.But the rest of asia,actually,in general is not even respectable.

I like to look at the big picture so I have always kept on eye on Asia as a whole. But then, I also watch the world as a whole. I am only on JF because I live in Japan. When I leave, I will probably leave JF.

....of course when I come back to Japan because I can't find a better place to live, well, I guess I'll be back.:D

I’m asian-Indonesian, I love Japan i love the culture, first because i love Hyde..^^ Then started to search all about Japan, then i fell in love with it. The music, movie, language, their unique habit etc. I just love it, other than Japan i love Korea.
I think my country is also interesting 4 me, lot of island and different language and culture.:vsign:

Ow..^^ sure, Indonesia is not too well known, it’s near singapore and Malaysia. Malaysia is in our island Kalimantan, maybe you’ll be more familiar with Bali Island, it’s on Indonesia region.

well i an from asia, but i like south korea and honk kong, singapore etc but love to focus on Japan more, and south korea is my second fav :)

That tought comes from Middle East countries full of terrorists and terrorism supporters,like North Korea,Lebanon,Syria,Irak,Iran,etc.The others are excellent.
