Herro :3 Wanting to know if there was any furries on these forums? I'm kinda new here :ywave:

Perhaps I'll look stupid, but what is/are furries actually? :cool:

A good question deserves a good answer.

Well there are very many definitions, heres one.

Furry fandom (also known as furrydom, fur fandom or furdom) refers to the fandom for fictional anthropomorphic animal characters with human personalities and characteristics

To sum it up, its someone who acts/thinks there an animal over the internet or can dress up in a fur suit in real life.

furries in a simplest sense are fans of anthropromorphic animals. That is, animals with human like features or tendencies. Hence you see in the OP's avatar, a fox.

That's a standard avatar for JF, available to those with less than 25 posts in the system. Not that telling.

Also, research "yiffing" for one of the more questionable aspects of the subculture.

Hoping to change it soon.

Please enlighten me, what makes one get into furries or better yet, what got you into becoming a Furries fan?

Well, the one animal I'v loved, studied, and just plain surround my self in like pictures and statues in my room would be the wolf. I'v been interested in wolves ever since I was 5 years old, now when I found out i was a furry was in the end of 2007 when i can across a website called TheFurryForum.com (TFF) after looking up wolf pictures for a new Computer back round, Now when i found out about this site I was so happy that I wasn't the only one thinking like I did about wolves.

But there are many furry animals, like Birds, Raccoons, Dragons, Snakes, Foxes, and many more. Doesn't have to be furry to be a furry :3

I see. Have you ever thought seriously about knowing all the ins-and-outs of Wolves? There are many people I know now works for National Geographics derived from their childhood passion.

I have 2 friends who are currently for National Geographics Wildlife; one as a photographer, and one as a journalist hoping to track down Lions and Elephants. One is in African safari, the other in Brazil.

As of now no, but I want to someday in life.

She is the BEST! :D But she is still a little odd, buddy's and I talk about her. Aslo, she would never ever hurt an animal, it wasn't her who did it.

She murdered her neighbor's dog, lied about it, later bragged about it and apparently has no remorse. If you do something like that and think it's okay because it's "hardcore" it's only a matter of time before you do it to another human being. I'm sorry buy I think she and others like her either have to die or be institutionalized. なるべくならば前者を望むんだよ・・・。

EDIT;　SHE DID DO IT! She said so in a recent interview and described how she did it!!

Read the whole article, the dog was hit by a car, she did not do it, she never would do something to harm a animal, as the article said...She like's road kill.

Who is She?

I've never really understood the 'furry' scene. I've tried as one may, but it just seems strange to me. However, I am not bashing a person based on what they believe in.

From what I've been able to garner about the 'furry' scene, there are a lot of 'wolves', 'lions', 'foxes' and whatever predatory animal being taken up as a persona. As I passed across earlier, I am not an expert, but are there any animals that simply couldn't be classed a predatory animal? Are there 'ruminant furries', and what about 'Sloth furries'? I am simply curious about this, and encountering a furry is certainly not something I deal with on a daily basis.

Well, every furry is different in some way, like there are the furries that just like do be a furry over the internet to meet new friends and just keep it out of there real life, there are the furries that are furries over internet and in real life and dress up in fur suits, let people know that they are one, have no issues telling real life friends, acting as they would online, and much more. As me, most of my friends know im Bi, im a furry and im proud of it really, my mother knows.

Many furries are different in a variety of ways.

Any animal can be a furry. Birds, mice, horses, foxes wolves, werewolves (like Wolfie Blackheart) raccoons, deers, dragons (scalies) and much more.

Please enlighten me, what does her action have to do with people being fancinated with furries.

Well she is very very big, know by most furries, and what she did, she is in to taxidermy, and her neighbors dog was hit by a car, now she took teh dog not telling the dogs owners about it, and cut the dogs head off, boiled it, and kept it with the other animals head's she already owned, now people that hate her and are against her say that the god was alive when she did it but that is 100% NOT TRUE. She did do it she even said, on a youtube video,
